With reference to Colonial Office letter No.
43196/1923 of the 1st of September, regarding a Charitable
allowance payable to "iss. C. H. Barrow, formerly a Sister
in the Medical Department, Hong Kong, we shall be glad if
you will inform us whether the pension and charitable
allowance which is to total £100 per annum in all is to be
regarded as including the temporary increase of £12. 7. 6
per annum which has hitherto been paid upon the substantive
pension of 237. 10. 0 i.e. is the increased payment of £100
per annum to be subject to possible fluctuations of the
temporary increase generally in future?
